CPU 80th Anniversary School Fairs

Central Police University (CPU) held the “CPU 80th Anniversary School Fairs” on Sep. 2nd 2016 to celebrate the 80th anniversary. Parents and guests are eager to enter the campus with limited access to the public.

A stage was settled in the flag field, where it was usually covered with serious atmosphere, and faculties came and went around the enormous backboard of “CPU 80th, Security Monolith” as they busily preparing the affair. It had implied the commencement of this interesting school fairs.

At the beginning, the CPU wind band members all wore neat uniforms in high spirits. They played the happy birthday song to create a pleasant atmosphere. Then President Diao beat the gong to get the school fairs started.

The school fair also came with several eye-catching and attractive performances. The Mobile Division of New Taipei City Police Department, Police Agency’s Third Mobile Division Police K-9 Unit and the special rescue team of Taipei City Fire Department appeared first. Later, the SWAT members showed police combat skills such as high quality kicks, hits, catches and flops. The K-9 units presented outstanding performances had successfully attracted the audience to take pictures with these brave K-9 stars.

The mounted police of the New Taipei City Police Department was the most stunning performance; it included team formation changes and horse interaction. The guests were amazed. Taipei City and Taoyuan City Fire Department also provided mobile Earthquake Simulation unit, Aerial ladder fire-fighting truck and smoke exposure area as fire prevention promotion.

In order to provide student parents and guests with a better understanding of the features and future career development, each CPU academic department, jointly demonstrated their teaching achievement and equipment with the Agency of Coast Guard, the Agency of Immigration, the Agency of Corrections, Taoyuan Women’s Prison, the Third Special Police Corps, New Taipei City Police Department and Taoyuan City Police Department and gained positive feedback.

Student-volunteer campus tour group introduced to guests the newly-built the Investigation and Forensic Technology Building, World Police Museum, Doctor Henry C. Lee Sector and the Exhibition of Reminiscent Images. Meanwhile, the shooting scenario simulation was also highly appreciated.

On the main stage, wonderful performances such as symphonic band, singing, judo and wrestle that demonstrated how multi-talented the CPU students are have been played out. A band named “Permutations” was formed by alumni who had graduated for 21 years. They were specially invited and their wonderful voice also won a big round of applause.

In the end, a video that showed the daily life of CPU students, including the intensive training achievements and abundant life connotation perfectly lowered the curtain of t the school fairs.
